The facilities for buggy drive or quad drive are limited, but they could stagger the clients in different groups and sort them with different timings to accommodate large groups. The volunteers are always there to assist. I did not like much the cultural program but it gives a flavour of desert life for sure."

"Booked this trip via TUI. Staff went over health and safety very clearly and showed everyone how to use the quads safely. Drove for about 25km through the desert to a camp, rode camels (the man leading the camel was fantastic and took so many photos for myself and my husband). After that, we had a cup of tea and a relax. Rode back through the desert. TUI said the trip was 2 hours, but it was over 4 (which was even better as nothing was rushed). I recommend taking loads of water, although water is given out at the beginning, more is needed, they sell scarves at the quad facility but limited colours, long trousers is a must as the engine on the bikes blows out by your lower leg and it gets very hot. Definitely worth going on. We had a great day"

Whatever the label, this is where you are going to find relatively active experiences. The scale of the operation looks convincing, and plenty of tourists come here. We opted for a quad bike and buggy ride, plus a visit to a Bedouin village. First, you will need to buy a keffiyeh scarf (if you haven’t already). If you buy a tour, you will be warned you in advance, so you can prepare. On site they will show you how to wear it properly. And it's not just for show, it is a real defense against the sand (of which there will be plenty, all flying straight into your face). The quad bikes are well‑used but still run and handle well - what more do you need? -) Driving a buggy is also interesting: it takes off immediately, handles very firmly, and you need a little time to get used to it after driving regular cars. But since you are in the desert, crashing is unlikely. Plus, a staff member is always there to assist you. Yes, children work here too, but they handle the vehicles with impressive confidence. "För mig var det lite för "arangerat" jag trodde vi skulle rida kameler ut i öknen men det var bara en tur på ca 2m vid gården vi besökte, fina bilder men inte så mycket till upplevelse. Jag trodde också att 4hjulings tur ingick men det gjorde det inte det var nog missförstånd min sida. Maten var väldigt god och platsen vi var på vacker och spännande. Odlingar mitt i öknen, pratade med mannen som ägde marken och det var gkvande även fint att prata med en av chaufförerna som var beduin. Hade helt enkelt önskat mig mer hade gärna stannat lite längre under stjärnorna också. "

An enjoyable experience

"The positives of this tour included the extremely knowledgeable Moussa, who has a great sense of humour. The drive out into the desert was a lot of fun, and everyone in the van had a really good time together on that journey. The view of the sunset on top of the mountain is something else! Once out in the Bedouin village, Moussa’s knowledge of the Bedouin life is extremely impressive. His knowledge of astronomy is even better. The view of Jupiter, Saturn and the Moon from the telescope is very special. The food served in the desert is also very tasty! The only downside for us was that the milky way wasn’t as visible as we had hoped. Moussa explained that we had been 5 days too early (the moon was positioned in the wrong place), which was a shame. It would have been nice for this to have been mentioned at the time of booking. Also, on the way out, the driver was more than 20 minutes late and then we stopped at a random location only 5-7 minutes from our pick up at the hotel, where we were told we needed to wait 30 minutes (which turned into 50 minutes) for other guests to show up in a taxi. We were quite unhappy about this as it was hot and a waste of our time, especially given that we had enquired beforehand whether it was possible to be picked up later. Given our limited time in Hurghada, we could have made much better use of that time than sitting around for well over an hour in total for no apparent reason. However I have still given the tour 4 stars because I feel that the rest of the day made up for what happened at the start of the day."

This meant 40 people were lining up to look through one telescope to see Jupiter. Guide was enthusiastic but his super strong laser pointer pointing on grounds and mountains were too bright. Bedouin town is actuallt just a bedouin house. It was great to see a bit of the milky way but not worth half a day."

Fantastic experience!

"My girlfriend surprised me with this adventure for our anniversary, and it was a fantastic experience. Starting with the crazy drifting tour through the desert (loved that one because the drivers are all big boys), followed by an incredible sunset view in the direction of the mountains of Sahara. After that we came to a bedouin village, where Moussa the astronomer told us about the particularities of bedouin life from the twelve years, he experienced and how he learned a lot of things about the stars. During his lecture we had a nice tea and got shown by another local bedouin how bread was traditionally made over the fireplace. Afterwards we had great food (if you want to feel completely safe, give up eating the meat…we had some issues afterwards). As soon it became dark we were able to see a night sky we will never forget in our life. In El Gouna you are several miles in the desert, so you do not have any light pollution and you can see the milky way in a way you never did before. Moussa told us a lot about the star signs and showed us some planets through the telescope. It was quite incredible to see the ring of saturn for the first time. We would have loved to stay in the desert all night and watch the night sky. We can really recommend the tour to everybody, because the whole crew has a nice energy and especially Moussa is such a great person and you can really learn a lot from him. The only thing I would dispense with is the camel riding, because it´s an unnecessary load for the animal and it´s only about three minutes ride where the camel has to lay down and get up again and again for everyone."

Crazy safari to celestial serenity

"Genuinely just a cool experience. As we were quite far away, Moussa kept us informed of our drivers arrival which made it easier to know when they would arrive. The Jeep was essentially 2 benches facing each other which made for a new experience in itself. Once everyone was collected, we headed to the site where the Camels were for a quick ride around (if you haven't rode a camel, definitely worth giving it a go) they look cared for and there was none of the usual aggression for them to perform their duties, very relaxed. Following this we went on the wild ride across the desert, find something, anything to hold on too. It was so much fun and even though your flying over jumps, you never feel unsafe, these vehicles really hold up well in this environment. Zooming through the desert with music blasting, whilst your jumping around in the back is so much fun, and you'll find you and your group interact through jokes and laughter together. Once you arrive at the village, you can take a look around and learn how the make their bread and get to taste it. Very tasty and fresh off the heat. We then had our sunset time, the walk is steep but short and worth it. Even with people talking around you, you can find a strange quitness by just taking stock. We found a little spot to sit and just watched the beautiful sunset behind the mountains. There is a little rush to get back down as it gets dark quickly out there. At the Boudin dinner, the food was great, different meats, soup, salads and 'Egyptian Champagne" (Coca-Cola). Really gives you a different sense of their way of life. But the star of the show, truly are the stars, planets and moons. You get some time during and after dinner to simply, look up. The quiet and darkness culminate to a beautiful and surreal experience where you can just stop. Look around. Marvel at the milky ways vastness or the brightness of Jupiter and the shear number of constellations that are on display. Add in the use of the telescope where we got to see Jupiter and a selection of its moons plus the rings of Saturn and Titan close by to wrap up a truly wonderful experience. "This trip was absolutely amazing!!! I went with my children and we couldn’t have asked for more. Off roaring through the dessert felt like a movie. It was just our group in the middle of the dessert- unbelievable!!! What I loved was that we saw a genuine Bedouin village not a tourist replication. The dinner was delicious and the stargazing was one of the best things we have ever done!!! We got to see Saturn and Jupiter- my children were so happy. Moussa the astrologer was so knowledgeable and could answer anything and really spent the time to explain things. If there is one thing you do in hurghada - do this trip!!!!!!!!!"

"Nous avons été récupéré à l’hôtel à l’heure prévue . Nous avons ensuite été emmené dans le désert en jeep. Une balade sur le dos des chameaux a été proposé pour ceux qui le souhaitait et nous avons vu les étoiles dans le ciel ce fut magnifique et très instructif car le guide nous a montré différentes étoiles leurs noms et comment se repérer avec les étoiles .. S’était un moment de découverte et d’apprentissage sur les étoiles. Le guide était très clair dans ses explications et ils s’adaptent à plusieurs langues. Je recommande cette activité en famille ou en couple !"

Schöner Ausflug

"Wir würden pünktlich vom Guide am Hotel abgeholt. Nach 2 weiteren stops ging es ab in die Wüste. Unser Guide Moussa hat uns nach Ankunft sehr viel über die Beduinen erzählt,wirklich interessant. Er zeigte uns einen Brunnen,und zum Abschluss sind wir den Berg hinauf geklettert um den Sonnenuntergang zu genießen,schöne Fotos inklusive. Abschließend sind wir zu einer Pferderanch gefahren,wo man uns landestypische Tänze vorführte. Alles in allem ein gelungener Ausflug. Nur die Vorführung mit dem Pferd am Ende fanden wir alle (komplette Gruppe) absolut nicht in Ordnung. Ansonsten kann man den Ausflug nur weiterempfehlen."

A movie star in the desert

"We were greater by three members of the staff that were very polite and respectful. Our astronomer, Moussaka was a fantastic source of knowledge in various fields such natural medicine, theology and many more. He gave us a brief of what the program would be and we started our adventure by experiencing the rural and very beautiful bedouin culture where we had the opportunity to see how the bread is been made and tasted the local tea. I bought a natural remedy for my swollen feet and he instructed me how to use it and how and extract the gel afterwards for other alternative usages. We continued our discovery by admiring the local 250m deep well and the very characteristic mosque. The place at the sunset is amazing as you can see from the pictures. We moved forward our itinerary in a beduin area that offered buffed food such grilled meat, rice and other local delicacies followed by a local and folkloric show and a camel ride. After that we went to our final bit of our travel by going to the glancing stars designates area. Moussa explained everything meticulously and we went wild when we learned about star alignment and glancing the moon. The pictures provided have no any filters and is that what you gonna see. This is the most amazing experience of my life and I will return in the future for sure. Thank you Moussa and staff. You all are amazing."

"Die Tour kann ich nur jedem empfehlen. Man wird in einem kleinen Jeep abgeholt wo Max 8 Personen Platz haben. Dann geht es in die Wüste wo die Fahrer alles geben. Wir hatten den Crazy Fahrer, wir wurden sehr gut durchgeschüttelt, was Riesen Spaß macht. Am Endpunkt angekommen, bekommt man einen leckeren Tee und erfährt einiges. Zum Sonnenuntergang kann man auf einen Berg steigen, was atemberaubend ist. Man kann dort wunderschöne Bilder machen. Wenn die Sonne untergegangen ist, bekommt man sehr leckeres Essen. Wenn es dann richtig dunkel geworden ist, kann man die Sterne durch ein Teleskop ansehen und bekommt einige Sterne erklärt. Ein unvergesslicher Ausflug."

"Nach dem kurzen Kamelritt ging es mit dem Jeep mit einer holprigen aber sehr spaßigen Fahrt zu den Beduinen. Nach einem Begrüssungstee stiegen wir einen Berg hinauf, um uns von dort den Sonnenuntergang anzusehen, auch ansonsten hatte man von dort oben eine super Aussicht. Nach dem Abstieg wurde uns von den Beduinen ein sehr leckeres Essen zubereitet. Danach wurde ein beachtliches Teleskop aufgebaut, mit dem uns unser Tourguide Mohammed ausführlich Sternenbilder, einzelne Sterne und den Mond näher brachte. Es war insgesamt ein echt tolles Erlebnis, welches auch durch den tollen Fotografen Islam und seinen tollen Bildern, die er teils mit unseren eigenen Handys von uns geschossen hat, noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben wir. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für einen traumhaften Tag/Abend in der Wüste."

"This trip is amazing! Great for my 8 and 12 year olds. The camel riding is short and sweet which is just enough for me and to take a few photos. Riding through the desert in the jeep was so fun and it really felt like I was on another planet and when we arrived at the Bedouin settlement it really felt like home. Mohamed was very informative and entertaining as he explained about Bedouin life and watching the sunset at the top of a hill was spectacular. The food was absolutely scrumptious and tasted so fresh and delicious. Again, Mohamed told us all about the night sky and the Zodiac signs. A truly memorable trip. One thing, if you are staying in Makadi Bay like we were the transfer is about an hour so leave time for that."

Beste Tour in Hurghada!

"Ein geregelter Ablauf mit allem was man erwartet. Die Jeep Tour war wirklich witzig und aufregend. Anschließend kommt man in ein Beduinen Dorf, wo man mit Tee begrüßt wird. Anschließend steigt man auf einen Hügel nebenan auf dem man einen top Blick über die Wüste und den Sonnenuntergang bekommt. Das Abendessen im Anschluss war sehr lecker und wurde von den Beduinen zubereitet. Als es dunkel wurde hat man einen traumhaften Blick auf den Sternenhimmel genossen. Im März sieht man noch den Winterhimmel. Noch schöner soll er im Sommer gegen August aussehen. Der Guide Mohammed war die ganze zeit witzig und hat wirklich Ahnung von Sternenbildern und den dazugehörigen Namen. Über ein Teleskop konnte man zudem auch fernere Nebel und Konstellationen sehen. Ein super Abend der sich echt gelohnt hat!!! Tipp: Wenn ihr nur die Anfangszeit vom Trip bekommt und dort steht 15 uhr weil ihr online gebucht habt, dann seid am besten eine Stunde vorher fertig. Vor allem wenn euer Hotel in Makadi liegt ;) Über einen Anbieter vor Ort solltet ihr die richtige Pick up time mitgeteilt bekommen."

Schon aber ausbaufähig

"Es war ein sehr schöner Trip durch die Wüste, nur anfangs waren wir sehr verwirrt, da wir in ein Beduinendörfchen gefahren sind, was knapp hinter der "Autobahn" lag um auf einem Kamel zu reiten. Der Besitzer des Kamels hat uns zwar rum geführt, aber konnte leider kein Englisch weswegen wir nicht wirklich verstanden haben, was wir dort machen. Danach sind wir zum richtigen Beduinendorf gefahren um dort den Sonnenuntergang zu schauen, etwas zu essen und die Sterne zu sehen. Unser Guide hatte sehr großes Wissen über den Sternenhimmel und wo alle Sternbilder liegen und was sie in der griechischen Mythologie und Ägyptischen Mythologie bedeuten, was uns sehr gefallen hat. Alles in allem war es schön das erleben zu dürfen, nur der Anfang war ausbaufähig."

Cool Desert Star Gazing

"The star gazing safari was awesome, Mohammad was very knowledgeable and excited to share with us the knowledge of the stars and the bedouin life. Although it's wasn't the full sky of stars like it would be in the summer time, we could still see an arm of the milky way. The more we waited the more stars that turned up it was really beautiful. It was really peaceful in the desert and can see why the bedouin opt for a simple life. The views were amazing after climbing up a little mountain, and the food was delicious afterwards. Our driver was funny and made the drive fun for us. Would absolutely go again, but next time in the summer when the sky is full! Thanks Mohammad!"

"It was a super experience. We learned a lot about the stars and the live of the beduins. I can absolutely recommend that trip. The jeep safari was also a lot of fun because it is more like a bumpy ride. Everybody was very kindful and the silence in the desert is super relaxing. Also the food is very delicious and you won't stop to eat. Best tour in Hurghada and Mohammed is the best guide you can get there for this experience."

Wundervoller Ausflug in die Wüste

"Es war eine sehr gut organisierte Tour. Amr der Fahrer war unglaublich und hat von Anfang an viele Spässe mit den Gästen gemacht...yalla yalla... Safari juchu🤣. Der Guide Mohammed hat viel über das Leben in der Wüste berichtet und sehr gut die Sterne und Sternbilder erklärt und gezeigt. Das Barbecue war sehr gut, Gegrilltes frisches Hähnchen. Das Team hat uns einen wunderschönen Tag geschenkt."

Ein paar Abzüge aber alles in allem ganz cool

"Also die ersten 2 Stunden der Tour hätte man sich schenken können. Wir wurden schon 14.15 Uhr abgeholt, Startpunkt der Tour war 15 Uhr. Wir wurden abgeholt und haben dann an der Straße erstmal noch 30 Minuten auf die anderen Jeeps gewartet. Dann ging es zu einem kleinen Dorf, dort haben wir mehr oder weniger wieder gewartet und es wurde 1 Kamel für 20 Leute bereitgestellt zum Kamelreiten. Die eigentliche Tour ging dann 16.15 Uhr los mit der Wüstentour. Mich hat es hinten im Jeep ein paar mal gegen das Dach gehauen, sehr turbulente Fahrt. Danach gab es Tee im Beduinen-Dorf, keine Ahnung ob das wirklich eins war. Danach haben wir den Sonnenuntergang angeschaut und sind noch ein bisschen gewandert. Das war cool. Danach hieß es das wir 20 Minuten auf das Essen warten sollen, daraus wurden 50 Minuten. 30 Minuten davon saßen wir im Dunkeln rum ohne Licht. Das Essen war eigentlich ok, leider hab ich den nächsten Tag circa 10 Mal gebrochen und hatte Durchfall. Der Sternenhimmel war toll. Alles in allem und für das Geld war der Ausflug ganz ok."

"Les points négatifs : - je n'ai vraiment pas aimé le tour de chameau. Le chamelier était en retard. Il y avait un seul chameau et nous étions 11. Le chameau faisait quelque mètres avant de retourner au point de départ. J'aurais préféré que chacun ait son chameau et qu'on puisse se promener a un endroit plus intéressant qu'un genre de village touristique -pas de ceinture dans les voitures... Le conducteur roule a 100 km/h dans le désert avec les bosses. Les points positifs : +Le buffet est délicieux +La route dans le désert avec les bosses est vraiment cool tant qu'on a pas un accident +Le guide explique bien l'histoire des gens qui habite le désert, très intéressant +Le guide explique bien les étoiles +Passer une soirée dans le désert... WOW Prendre note que le guide ne parlait qu'en anglais. "

Star gazing funny trip

"Great trip in the afternoon to know a little about Bedouin's life and see the stars in the evening. The jeep ride in the desert was a little bit crazy but real funny, but the desert road is not a highway so...don't expect not to jump from your seat. After that we saw the sunset over the desert mountains. Then we wait for the darkness to have a sky full of stars with the explanations of our guide Momo, who also talks about what is like the life of a Bedouin. We finished with a Bedouin BBQ, simple but tasty. Only regret was the camel ride, only one camel, some of us did a little ride, but most people even didn't give it a try, but personally I would like to do a true camel ride of maybe 20 minutes or so. Anyway a good trip not too much expensive and really fun."
